Situated on the edge of Ardbear Bay just outside the town of Clifden, the Ardagh is a refined, relaxing hotel and award-winning restaurant set in the scenic heart of Connemara.

Overlooking the bay the restaurant specialises in locally caught seafood and fresh homegrown vegetables with great attention to detail and presentation. As well as fresh oysters and lobster, samples from the menu include; Fillet of Turbot on Creamed Bay Spinach served with a Light Saffron Sauce and Roast Rack of Lamb with a Reduction of Red Wine and Lamb Jus perfumed with Rosemary and Thyme. All of which are complimented by an imaginative wine list. Afterwards, the refined piano bar is the perfect place to relax with after dinner coffees and liqueurs.

Connemara is great outdoors country and the Ardagh can arrange activities such as sea angling, horse riding and golf at the renowned 18 hole championship links Connemara Golf Club in nearby Clifden.
