The onshore facilities at the Bases include comfortable reception foyers, instructional videos, showers, laundrettes, clothes drier, and parking. All the boats have a telephone on board for contact with the Base if required.

There is so much to see, so much to do and so many places to visit – all in amazing and contrasting scenery – and the freedom to do it! You have canals, narrow and wider sections of river, and lakes dotted with islands.

There are only 6 locks on the entire Shannon and 16 automatic ultra modern electronic locks on the Shannon-Erne waterway.
